Inclusion & environment
Staff develop children's understanding of the natural world very well. For example, children learn how plants grow, as they pick seeds out of apples to plant, or help to grow vegetables in the garden. Staff plan many opportunities for children to develop their physical skills throughout the day, including developing strength and spatial awareness as they roll tyres around or navigate around the garden on a balance bike.
Staff rotation with agencies involved all the time. The school has stairs that are very dangerous for children that age. The director of the school has no people skills and she is very egocentric. No engagement and or rapport with parents from her. She do not have genuine people skills. The school do not have conditions to accomodate all the children they have. The rooms are crowded and not healthy for children development.
Read on GoogleOur son just turned 2, he has been at wood wharf since my wife went back to work 1 year ago. We looked at a lot of nurseries including one literally next to where we live and we choose to come here. 1 It is really clean and everything looks new (unlike a lot of other nurseries which can look run down), and has great light, but it is also air conditioned in the summer so does not get too hot as well. 2 The manager Helenna is fantastic, every responsive and sort out any problems. She is very obviously experienced, but also more important she is IMHO opinion caring. 3 Food is good, but sometimes I think it is too fancy for my son and he gets confused by it! 4 The outdoor play area is nice. 5 In the summer they do frequent trips around Canary Wharf which is nice as there is a lot to see and do. 6 The staff are great, was a bit of turnover at start but now seems very stable. They are very kind and affectionate with the children which is really important. 7 Its expensive for us but worth it as our son is happy and has a good time there. He is also learning a lot, as I think all the other parents are very engaged as well. 8 Only think I would like is if they did more events where parents could get together to socialise more.
Read on GoogleI attended a nursery tour a little while ago and was not impressed by what I saw. The visit began without any ID checks, which I expected from a professional childcare setting. The overall environment felt truly disorganised and chaotic, with several staff members appearing disengaged as we walked through the rooms.
Read on GoogleAwful experience! I have made many complaints, staff have said there are not enough staff and resources. Lack of leadership!. Often agency staff and different faces for children regularly. Environment very chaotic. Excuses for reoccurring issues. How the manager ,she sits in office all day. This we see as parents too often. Garden very crowded space for all children.
Read on Google⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't recommend this nursery highly enough as a parent. The staff is exceptionally well-managed, always attentive, and focused on the well-being of the children. I've been particularly impressed with the management team, who are very responsive to feedback. We requested a new playground, and they made it happen, which was incredible to see. What sets this nursery apart is its commitment to diverse learning experiences. They arrange visits to museums, boat rides, tube adventures, fun and healthy foods, and regular walks outside. These experiences have accelerated my daughter's development at a rate that surpasses what we could achieve at home. I have complete confidence in the management's capability to continue providing a stable, enriching environment for our children. If you're looking for a nurturing, educational, and dynamic setting for your child in canary wharf, look no further. This is a great nursery.
