Inclusion & environment
Staff work in partnership with parents and other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. This ensures that individual needs are identified, and bespoke 'play plans' are swiftly implemented to close gaps in learning.
Outdoors, children develop their core strength as they run and ride bikes and cars. They increase their understanding of nature and the world around them as they use small trowels to dig for worms.
However, staff do not consistently give children who speak English as an additional language the time that they need to process and express new vocabulary and concepts.
My child has been attending Elm House Day Nursery in Gateacre and I couldn’t be happier with the care and attention they receive. The staff are warm, patient, and genuinely dedicated to the children’s wellbeing. The nursery also has a great routine, nutritious meals, and regular updates for parents, which is so reassuring. The environment is safe, welcoming, and filled with plenty of activities from creative play and outdoor fun to early learning opportunities and I’ve noticed real progress in my child’s social skills, communication, and confidence since starting here.
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending this nursery for only a few months now on a Wednesday morning. We looked around for a nursery for a while and couldn’t find anything suitable but as soon as we viewed elm house I got a lovely warm welcoming feeling. The staff are absolutely amazing so helpful and professional, the manager is absolutely lovely and will do anything to help and put you at ease. The nursery is spotless and so much for the kids to do, along with great outdoor space. I am trying to get extra days for my son as I don’t want to have to go anywhere else.
Read on GoogleMy little girl has been going here now since the start of November. This nursery is such a gorgeous little setting with loads to do each week for the kids, she's only 8 months but already iv seen her come on since joining. All the girls are so polite and make you feel welcome. Just extra lucky that she got Charlotte as her keyworker she was my eldest daughters keyworker and I couldn't find fault at all. Would also highly recommend Elm House Childwall if no space here the girls there are also one in a million 🤩
