Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

The special educational needs coordinator is very experienced and passionate about her role. She works alongside staff and parents to identify concerns at the earliest opportunity and is quick to secure the support individual children need. Staff have received training to confidently use strategies that promote inclusive practice and support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) to access the curriculum. Children with SEND receive excellent support and make remarkable progress over time.

Outdoor space

The nursery benefits from spacious outside areas that have been superbly developed to provide opportunities for children to be physically active and to explore and be curious. For example, children work collaboratively to collect stones and line them up, in size order, to build a 'rock snake'.

Mainly been here to take part in training sessions but since having my second born 2 months ago I have attend their stay and play sessions. Staff are very friendly and lovely and clearly take time to know the children and parents as they clearly see the sane faces often and always seem to notice new people who attend. Love the sessions as it's a no phone policy as much as I would love to take pictures of my son having a good time I think it's good as its a few hours without a phone and just quality time. Staff do have a tablet so you can take pictures and they will send them over at some point. Lovely littke area for little ones with cushions, books, fabrics and sensory toys and more on offer for older children with outdoor play and table top activities.

Linden centre is absolutely brilliant! I have 2 daughters and the youngest went here. My experience has been so much better than with a private nursery. The staff are incredible and loving and supportive and fun! I am so so grateful to Linden for helping raise my daughter.

I really can't rate Linden highly enough, and having a place like this as part of our family life makes us feel so supported, especially as neither my partner or I have family in London. I leave my 1 year old son with the wonderful team in the Lotus room knowing that he is being looked after by such loving and highly professional carers. They are a brilliant team who treat every baby as an individual which is just so lovely to see. We really feel like we have joined a community and are benefitting so much as a family. J is my first baby and I was quite anxious about him starting nursery but Thelma, Andrea, Jenine, Denise and Zarena settled us in so quickly and were so kind. We get loads of feedback about what he's been up to during the day and communication as a whole is great. The building is also really light and airy and just feels very welcoming and well run. I would highly recommend the free Baby Club which is run upstairs as a drop-in every week, if you're looking for a relaxed way to meet other parents. Unlike a lot of paid-for baby activities the atmosphere is just very chilled and laid back and you can just hang out with your baby and not worry about arriving on time. We love this place! Thank you Linden 🙂

Linden children centre nursery has been a rock for me and my family. They have gone above and beyond and been helpful and supportive. Staff are your biggest asset! They care about your children and it shows.they are always caring in their approach, speaking respectfully to the child, while still keeping control of the situation - this is so hard to do with 2 children at home let alone a higher number. Every single member of staff greets you and baby in the morning when they see you no matter what their job/position. It's such a friendly place. I feel the feedback given to me by your staff is great and the daily updates at the end of each day are really good for finding out what my little one has been up to throughout the day. We are always kept informed of our child's progress and regularly invited to add our own observations and comments. I think the activities are great. He is exposed to a different range of activities than he is at home, which I think is valuable. Friendly staff, children being able to go into the garden whenever they need to, my children have both been very happy there, we felt our children were safe, everyone knows them and we all feel welcome. The friendly staff welcoming you every morning. The amount of support that Adam and mariyah had and the attention they received . Adam has come on leaps and bounds and has built a fantastic friendship group and support network where he wants to come to each and every day. The level of care and support tailored to each individual's needs. I always know my boy will be looked after to the highest standards. The learning facilities for children and open variety of opportunities for play to be a form of education for children. Thank you to all the staff there for making my kids early years such fun. Keep up the good work!
