Muddy Boots Day Nursery provides a nurturing environment for children aged 0-4 years, embracing an ethos that promotes extensive outdoor exploration and learning. Situated within the expansive nine-acre grounds of Trinity College, the nursery boasts dedicated outdoor play areas and a unique Forest School programme.
This allows children constant access to nature, fostering their curiosity through activities like den-building, gardening, and observing wildlife. The nursery aims to create an empowering space where children develop confidence and an appreciation for the natural world, overseen by staff trained in Advanced Forest School Leadership.
While prioritising children of full-time Trinity College staff and students, Muddy Boots also welcomes applications from the wider community, aiming for a diverse and inclusive setting. The nursery emphasises a minimum attendance of two sessions per week to ensure children fully benefit from their experience.
Operating year-round with specific closure periods, Muddy Boots focuses on a supportive atmosphere where children can thrive and grow.

Inclusion & environment
Staff provide excellent support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The special educational needs coordinator works closely with parents, staff and outside professionals to ensure children have the continuous support they need to reach their full potential.
Staff provide opportunities for older children to continue to build on their bigger physical skills as they navigate and climb their way over and under trees. Children indulge their natural curiosity by testing out their ideas as they explore the new 'pully system' outside.
