The nursery received an overall "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 30/06/2023. Children eagerly engage in activities, quickly settling and sharing news with staff in a safe and happy atmosphere.
Accessible and well-organised toys encourage exploration and learning, with older children confidently creating complex models. After the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders prioritised the promotion of children's communication skills, providing additional staff training.
Staff are adept at identifying and addressing signs of speech delay, a focus that positively impacts children's behaviour by helping them articulate emotions and understand the effect of their actions. Outdoor learning is encouraged, with older children enjoying scavenger hunts, closely observing leaves, and listening for birds.
The pre-school fosters a supportive professional community, ensuring smooth transitions for children. Staff planning of the learning environment demonstrates a strong understanding of how children learn, promoting self-motivation and timely support.
Consistent routines are taught by staff, fostering confidence, independence, and good behaviour, and promoting participation in group activities. Parents have described NAPSAC as "nurturing, unique" and "fun," praising the individual care and support children receive.

Leaders made the promotion of children's communication skills a higher priority after the COVID-19 pandemic, including additional staff training. Staff notice signs of speech delay or difficulty and know how to address them, with the focus on speech and language positively impacting children's behaviour by helping them describe emotions and understand the effect of their actions.
Older children work hard to find everything on the outdoor scavenger hunt list, looking closely at leaves and listening carefully for birds. The inspector observed activities indoors and outdoors.
