Nido Montessori operates as an Association of Montessori International (AMI) day care, designed for children aged 0-3 years. The nursery provides a warm, secure environment, which includes natural wooden materials, a free-flow garden, and unique language and sensorial resources.
Children engage in practical life activities such as watering plants, preparing healthy snacks, and cleaning up, fostering independence and a connection to nature. The curriculum emphasises language acquisition through rich vocabulary, precise grammar, songs, and read-aloud books.
The Montessori guides interact with children at their eye level, ensuring clear communication. As children progress, they seamlessly transition to the Casa Montessori children’s house (3-6 years), where they further develop concentration, patience, and respect.
Nido Montessori aims to be the first all-year Montessori programme in Hampstead, offering flexible childcare solutions for parents with children up to six years old.

Inclusion & environment
Children who need extra help are well supported. Staff work with parents to develop targeted plans, which support children's behaviour and language development. All children make good progress and are well prepared for the next stage in their education. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
The manager recognised that some children have limited access to outdoor play. Consequently, she has adapted nursery routines so that children have more time to play in the garden each day. Children also benefit from real life experiences of nature and enjoy spending time outdoors, which supports their health and well-being.
Our baby has been attending Nido full time for 8 months and we think this nursery is exceptional! Our eldest went to different nurseries and we feel that Nido is the best we have found so far - amazing caring staff, strong and intentional curriculum and great community. Cannot recommend enough if you are looking into a proper Montessori education.
Read on GoogleOur experience at Nido has been beyond exceptional! The entire team is so genuinely caring and thoughtful, creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel completely at home. From day one, they’ve made the transition for my son so gentle and welcoming. Their approach emphasizes kindness and independence, which we love. It’s heartwarming to see him setting the table and making bread—skills that build his confidence and independence daily. Him and his little friend have a little book reading circle too. The teachers are wonderful, bringing patience and joy to everything they do, and it’s clear they truly love and respect the children. This place is simply magical for little ones.
Read on GoogleI can only say good things about Nido. Caring staff and the owner is often there - she’s very involved and adds a very personal touch. They’re great at teaching independence, our child was eating on their own and doing other activities much earlier than most.
