Inclusion & environment
Staff ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities experience activities that match their developmental and sensory needs. All children make good progress and are treated equally.
Staff promote children's physical development very well. Babies begin to stand and balance, crawling over low-level climbing equipment. Two-year-old children practise filling containers and carrying buckets of water. They play on rocking equipment and roll up their own wraps at lunchtime. Older children effectively manoeuvre bikes.
My 2yo son joined Sunbeams in December after being at another nursery for over a year that we left due to a job change. Sunbeams is absolutely fantastic. All of the staff are friendly, warm and enthusiastic. They all know every child by name. There's a really lovely relaxed, community feel to the nursery. The outdoor space is small but utilised well. There's a soft play which my son loves and there are always lots of activities on offer. They also go out on trips to the library, the park and recently to a farm. All of the staff are happy to answer any questions. They worked with us around potty training and dropping nap. They also encourage the children to develop life skills and prepare for school e.g. queuing to wash hands before meals. The only negative is that there are a few typos/ errors in the induction paperwork and some written communication. I'm mentioning as it may put people off but definitely shouldn't. Another plus is that management are responsive and communicative. We had questions around billing which were explained promptly. My son regularly tells us how much he loves his nursery and talks fondly of the brilliant staff in his room. We really rate Sunbeams and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Read on GoogleSuch a wonderful nursery my son went from 18 months up until starting school and my daughter started when she was 9 months and still attends. The staff are amazing and take such good care of the kids they are friendly and loving. I have never had a single issue or problem with anything, the staff and management are there for you with help and guidance on even the smallest worry you have. They have an App where they post photos so you can see what your child is doing throughout the day, both of my children developed so much here and my son is now doing fantastic in school thanks to Sunbeams and when it's time for the sad day when my daughter leaves for school she will do amazing as well. ❤
Read on GoogleSunbeams cared for our twins for 2 years and I have nothing but gratitude for all that they did for them. We found it to be a nurturing, loving environment where the staff clearly cared deeply about the wellbeing, happiness and education of the children. Everything about the place makes me smile ☺️
Read on GoogleMy son attended the nursery full time when he turned eleven months old until he was 4 and half years old. He had such an amazing time there. He always wanted to stay longer to play with other children or stay with staff members who all deeply cared about him and his development. He thrived there and I highly recommend this nursery.
Read on GoogleAmazing nursery, after having a bad experience at a previous nursery my daughter who was 2 at the time settled in so well and i felt a weight had been lifted and she was well cared for here. When it was her time to leave to start reception, she had that confidence to start big school and thats down to the lovely staff that encouraged and supported her through her time here. Would definitely recommend ☀️💜
