Staff carry out regular assessments on children's development to identify any gaps in their learning. Very impressed with Westfield and with all the staff I’ve met including management, the cook and the room team. Our daughter started in the baby room a month ago. Communication before starting was excellent and included a pre-term information evening to meet the room leaders and ask questions. We met our daughter’s key person before she started and had plenty time to share all the important info about her. I felt really listened to as I explained her personality and likes/quirks. She has settled so well, is very happy, and the team have been brilliant at communicating updates, sharing photos and learning observations with us. This has been really appreciated in the emotional first days of leaving your baby in someone else’s care. I’m really happy by the variety of activities I can see her doing, and the mix of indoor and outdoor space. Our key worker is fantastic and always gives time at handover and collection to listen to updates from me and to share updates on my daughter’s day. There definitely seems like a culture of genuine care and nurturing. The length of this review probably conveys the huge relief I feel, as putting my baby into nursery was very emotional and filled with anxiety. But I have full confidence in the nursery and its staff, and my daughter is very happy there.
Read on GoogleI feel like we couldn't ask for better staff to look after our daughter. She loves the staff at Westfield house, especially her key worker Emma and often asks for her even on a weekend. They have a very special bond. Staff are like family and always give so much support to us as parents too. They have been really helpful with our daughter’s additional condition and have provided so much support and have always been ready to help however and whenever they can. The stay and plays are such a good way to meet the staff and see them interact with our child and bring out the best in her. They always put on really good activities and all three of us enjoy coming to them. The most recent parents meeting about transitioning to the next room was really informative, helpful and great to meet the room leader as well as see the room itself in person. Staff were really open to discussing my child’s additional challenges and how they can best support us, which is so reassuring and comforting for us. They are so friendly, approachable and professional that I wouldn't have a problem talking to them about anything and they are so open and honest with us that it makes for a really rewarding and supportive shared approach to raising our daughter into the amazing little girl she can be.
Read on GoogleWe had the pleasure of being part of Westfield House Childcare from 2020 to 2024, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From day one, the staff have been nothing short of amazing – warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the children’s wellbeing and development. The forest school is a real highlight, giving the children the opportunity to explore, learn, and thrive outdoors in such a wonderful way. The food is also excellent, and it's clear how much thought goes into creating a healthy and enjoyable environment for the little ones. I visited 12 nurseries before choosing Westfield House, and it stood out by far as the best. The only reason we moved on was to attend a preschool closer to home – otherwise, we would have happily stayed! Thank you to the whole team for such a brilliant start to our children's early years
