I had a wonderful experience at the Waterside Youth & Community Centre Cafe! Marion, who took my order, was enthusiastic and friendly, making me feel warmly welcomed and at home. Helen, who served my food, was great too—she not only provided excellent service but also kindly shared the contact details for paddle boarding, which was super helpful. Thanks for making my visit enjoyable and warm!

What a shame, we use the cafe a lot really lovely normally, member of staff clearly wasn't happy, no thank you no smile for the customers. Very rude.

Great cafe & drop in centre a charity facility in the centre of Newbury, lovely staff great service, & a great spot right beside the Kennet & Avon canal,

We went in today, approached the counter and walked out again. Although I had high hopes, I was quite disgusted to see a member of staff coughing all over the counter repeatedly. She didn’t cover her mouth and coughed quite a bit as though she’s unwell, I wouldn’t have thought so badly of it or taken my business elsewhere if it was just once but it was quite a concerning amount. I can only imagine the germs that were being spread on surfaces, cups, food. She went out the back into the kitchen area (I assume) just inside the door, when we approached the till. She continued coughing and not covering her mouth. I couldn’t help but take my business elsewhere. This should surely be massively important in this establishment as a member of staff, to simply cover your mouth when coughing and wash your hands! The staff also never greeted us as we walked in, or when we approached the counter, we were seen but not acknowledged.. which I was quite surprised at.
